Advantages: |
* the widest range of actions, including osot, bodyak, etc. |
* low consumption rates, |
* a wide range of application periods, it can be applied in the cold season before the appearance of the flag leaf of plants. |
* the effectiveness depends little on the condition of the soil and the weather |
* the herbicide decomposes quickly without disturbing the subsequent crop rotation. |
Mechanism of action: The herbicide belongs to a new generation of drugs based on sulfonylureas. The drug is absorbed through the leaves, stems and roots of weeds and quickly moves through the plant to the growth points, where it blocks acetolactate kinase, which is necessary for the synthesis of essential amino acids - leucine, isoleucine and valine. As a result, cell division stops, growth stops, and weeds die. |
The spectrum of herbicidal activity: |
*highly sensitive to the drug are hemlock stork, bodyak (species), field aspen, field violet, veronica (species), highlander (species), field mustard, Tatar buckwheat, geranium, seed peas, gulyavnik (species), descurainia Sofia, medium star, buttercup (species), poppy seed, mar white, common shepherd's bag, pickle (species), sunflower carrion,pepper (species), wild radish, chamomile (species), field thorax, tilted pike, field yarutka, jasnotka (species), sourdough (species),; |
*medium-sensitive - blue cornflower, avian highlander, convolvulus highlander, medicinal dymyanka, field aspen, tenacious bedstraw, medicinal dandelion, tricolor violet; |
Insensitive are field convolvulus, ivy-leaved veronica, and all types of grass weeds. |
Rate of exposure: once in plants through leaves or through roots, the active substance penetrates into the apical meristems of the root or shoot and blocks cell division after 2-3 hours. Visible symptoms appear after 3 to 5 days. |
Symptoms of exposure: visually observable changes in plants do not occur immediately, but growth stops, water absorption decreases by 60-80%, and then the plants turn brown, red, charred and quickly die. |
Timing of application: when determining the timing of herbicide treatment, it is worth focusing on the phase of weed development, not the crop. Annual weeds are most sensitive to the herbicide in the 2-4 leaf stage, while perennial weeds are most sensitive to the "rosette" stage. To control late-rising weeds, it is allowed to use the drug at the stage of entering the grain tube, but not later than the growth phase of the flag leaf. |
The period of protective action: the drug has a herbicidal effect on sensitive weeds for no more than a month. Under favorable conditions, a second wave of weeds may appear. |
Crop rotation restrictions: none. The herbicide decomposes quickly and does not pose a danger to subsequent crop rotation. In the case of replanting crops treated with the drug, only spring grains should be sown this year. |
Phytotoxicity: at a rate of 25 g/ha of the drug, the herbicide is not phytotoxic for spring and winter crops during the recommended application periods.Flax and alfalfa are moderately stable. Many broad-leaved crops are sensitive to tribenuron methyl, the most sensitive are sugar, fodder, table beets, vegetable crops, potatoes, sunflowers, buckwheat. |
The possibility of resistance: there are cases of the appearance of resistant populations of grass weeds with prolonged use of herbicides - derivatives of sulfonylurea (white marjoram, bristles, chicken millet). In order to avoid the appearance of resistant species and biotopes of weeds, it is necessary to alternate the use of herbicides from different chemical groups with different mechanisms of action. |
