• The benefits of the drug Meis: | *Destroys a wide range of dicotyledonous weeds, as well as some annual cereals (in the initial stages of their growth); *It is an effective drug with a high rate of exposure.; *Holds back subsequent waves of weeds due to soil action; *It has a high selectivity to culture; *It combines well with other herbicides in tank mixtures. |
• Mechanism of action: | The mesotrion penetrates the plant through the leaves and roots. Moving along the ascending and descending currents, it is distributed through the vegetative organs of weeds and inhibits the biosynthesis of carotenoids in tissue cells. As a result, the work of chloroplasts and their photosynthetic activity is disrupted. The herbicide causes the growth of sensitive weeds to stop within 1-2 days after treatment, and after 7-14 days they completely die. |
• Speed and duration of action: | Within 1-2 days- the weeds stop growing. Their growth points, and then the entire plant, discolor and wither. Weeds completely die within the first two weeks. The duration of the Meis is up to 40 days, depending on weather and soil conditions. |
