Nicosulfuron 40 g/L OD  are herbicides containing nicosulfuron as the active ingredient, differing in formulation (OD: oil dispersion; )and concentration. Here is their product introduction:

• Active Ingredient: Nicosulfuron 40g/L OD , a selective sulfonylurea herbicide targeting annual and perennial grasses.

• Mechanism of Action: Inhibits acetolactate synthase (ALS) in grass weeds, blocking branched-chain amino acid synthesis and causing growth cessation and death.

• Product Features: Effective in corn fields, controlling barnyard grass, foxtail, ryegrass, and crabgrass. OD formulation offers good foliage adhesion and penetration. Both provide systemic translocation for thorough control, suitable for integrated weed management (IWM).

• Target Weeds: Annual grasses (green foxtail, barnyard grass) and some perennial grasses in corn.

• Applicable Crops: Field corn, sweet corn.

• Application Methods: Post-emergence foliar spraying. Dilute with water as directed (adjust based on formulation); apply when grasses are at 2-5 leaf stage, often with adjuvants for enhanced efficacy.

• Precautions: Toxic to aquatic organisms; avoid water sources. Harmful to certain crops (e.g., wheat, rice) - prevent drift. Wear protective gear. Follow local storage and disposal regulations.
